American Core Curriculum

The American Core Curriculum is an internationally recognised educational framework based on the US common core state standards(CCSS).The curriculum is designed to ensure learners build a strong foundational knowledge in core subjects with a focus on academic excellence,critical thinking and real world applications.

The common core state standards(CCSS)is a set of clearly defined learnng goals that outline what students should know and be able to do in English Language Arts(ELA) and mathematics at each grade level. In addition to the CCSS, the american core curriculum also integrates next generation science standards (NGSS) and National Social Studies Standards. These Standards:

  2. Promote deeper understanding over ROTE memorisation

CCSS focuses on developing academic knowledge and critical thinking skills to help students be more successful in colledge,career and in life.These standards also creates conditions for students to approach english at an early stage helping them to develop 4 skills of listening,speaking,reading and writing comprehensively.

Common Core standards are not a detailed day-to-day curriculum standards are about what learners should know or know how to do curriculum is about how learners are taught to know or do those things.
