The GED® is the most affordable option for homeschoolers to complete a Grade 12 Equivalent Qualification, making it possible for learners to study further after secondary school.

GED® is recognised as a Grade 12 Equivalent Qualification in South Africa, with the National Senior Certificate as its closest comparable qualification (SAQA) and is comparable to a NQF Level 4 Certificate (NQF).
It provides an alternate avenue for learners to gain admission to further studies at colleges or to enter the job market.
Learners can complete a NQF level 5 certificate courses and progress to NQF level 6 advanced certificate / diplomas or you can use the NQF Level 5 Higher Certificates as standalone courses.
