Goal-based Education
At Latitude Home Education, we believe education should be more than just ticking boxes, writing exams, and memorising facts. In today’s world, education must be meaningful, personalised, and connected to each learner’s unique future goals.
That’s why we offer a Goal-Based Learning approach with our American High School Diploma—an education model that places the learner’s aspirations at the centre of their academic journey.
Modern learners are no longer confined to traditional career paths or conventional schooling. More families are seeking flexible and future-focused alternatives that nurture a learner’s interests, talents, and ambitions.
Our goal-based approach ensures that learners are:
- Actively working towards specific academic or career objectives
- Learning subjects relevant to their future
- More engaged, focused, and motivated to succeed
This is especially beneficial for learners who:
- Thrive in personalised learning environments
- Have a clear career vision or want to explore non-traditional pathways
- Need an adaptable plan that supports academic AND personal growth
Every learner who registers with Latitude receives a one-on-one consultation. During this session, we:
- Identify the learner’s goals (career, university, personal growth, etc.)
- Assess the learner’s current academic standing
- Develop an Individualised Learning Plan (ILP) that bridges the gap between where the learner is and where they want to be
- Match subjects, electives, and learning strategies to those goals
- Provide ongoing academic and planning support throughout the high school journey
Traditional learning often separates subjects into silos. Our Goal-Based Curriculum connects learning to the bigger picture, emphasis on competence, not just content retention
Because the American High School Diploma is credit-based and modular, it allows learners to:
- Customise their subject choices
- Explore electives aligned with their interests
- Complete high school in a non-linear, goal-oriented format
Whether your child wants to become a pilot, graphic designer, software developer, veterinarian, entrepreneur—or isn't sure yet—we help them build a pathway to get there.
