Information
The American High School Diploma is typically studied over a period of 4 years from Grades 9-12.
There is no National Curriculum to follow, learners need to accumulate a minimum of 22 credits from Grades 9-12 and need to complete certain
core subjects and six electives.
With the exception of learners seeking University admission there are no standardised tests/examinations.

Personal Finance | 0.5 Credit | Not the same as Econmics and is in addition to the math required |
Health | 0.5 Credit | If Wellness is taken at a public/private school, it will transfer to HLA as 1/2 health and 1/2 of PE |
Physical Education | 0.5 Credit | 150 hours of any physical sport or activity from grades 9-12 |
Electives | 6 Credit | Choose any electives based on goals or interest |
Total Credits | 22 Credits | Required for graduation |
