International A Levels
Cambridge International A Levels (Ages 14-16) Years 10-11.
The Cambridge International AS & A Levels form the final stage of the Cambridge Pathway, providing learners with globally respected qualifications that open doors to leading universities and careers worldwide. These qualifications are flexible and ideal for self-directed home-educated learners.
Cambridge International A Levels consists of the Cambridge International Advanced Subsidiary Level (AS Level) which is the first half of the full International A Level course.
International AS Levels is a one year course and can be taken as a free standing qualification and is internationally recognised and accepted as equivalent to the South African National Senior Certificate (Grade 12 / Matric) when combined with IGCSE results for matriculation exemption. Both the Cambridge International AS and A Levels are internationally benchmarked qualifications.
With a choice of 55 subjects learners have the flexibility of a broad spectrum to either specialise in a particular subject or study a range of subjects. There are no compulsory subjects.
International AS levels follows from IGCSE While IGCSE is not a strict prerequisite, it is recommended for learners seeking university exemption through USAF in South Africa.
At Latitude Home Education, we offer a flexible support model for home-schoolers pursuing AS and A Levels independently, helping them succeed in these prestigious qualifications from the comfort of their own home.
