Pathways

The Cambridge International Curriculum offers a flexible, globally recognised, and comprehensive educational system from Kindergarten through to Grade 12 (K–12). This curriculum is structured into four progressive stages known as the “Cambridge Pathway”.

Each stage is designed to build on learners’ skills and knowledge from the previous one, yet each can also be taken independently. The pathway is adaptable to suit learners of different ages, abilities, and goals—making it ideal for self-paced, home-based education.

The Four Stages of the Cambridge Pathway

  • Cambridge Primary
  • Cambridge Lower Secondary
  • Cambridge IGCSE
  • Cambridge Advanced (AS & A Levels)

These stages provide a clear learning progression with a strong foundation in both academic knowledge and essential life skills. These stages provide a clear learning progression with a strong foundation in both academic knowledge and essential life skills.

The Cambridge Pathway stages align closely with the phases of the South African CAPS curriculum, while offering international benchmarking and greater subject flexibility.
